space

A building, a monument, a field of sunflowers, a small airplane alone in the sky. The eyes scan the scene, and on doing so they construct it. The rules of perception replicate the architecture of space; its columns, supports and vanishing points. As in all our work on gaze this is a story on how we reconstruct the world through our eyes. Here it is about space itself, the substrate that gives place, volume and air to form. This artwork is mostly shown through large photographs where the printed strokes of gaze reveal the skeleton of form.
